Nowadays there is a great pressure to be successful. Nobody wants to be a loser. But as mothers we don’t only feel the pressure to be successful in our career, but also as a loving partner, a good daughter, a caring friend, and a responsible mother. That’s a lot of roles to live up to and can cause us to feel stressed out and overwhelmed. It can cause us to feel rushed, easily irritated, sometimes anxious and we ask ourselves; Am I doing it all right? Sometimes the feeling of lacking pops up in our mind. We start to worry and all of this doesn’t have a good effect on either our career nor our parenting.
Therefore, in order to remain successful as a loving mother and business woman we have to find a way to cope with this pressure and stress to keep mentally fit. It’s Susan’s job – as a psychologist – to help woman find a balance between their career and personal life. During her workshop, she will speak about keeping the balance as a mother and share her professional knowledge with the audience. After her talk you know better how to find your mommy me-time and will be able to answers to the follow questions:
– What gives you energy?
– What circumstances do you need to remain innovative and creative?
– How to keep your energy?
– What are energy drainers?
– What to do after setback and disappointment?
– How to deal with uncertainty?
– What’s your perfect balance?
– What are your limits?
Susan received her Master of Clinical Psychology at the Radboud University Nijmegen and did a postmaster course Appreciative Inquiry at the Institute for Intervention Studies. Besides her passion for psychology, she also has a passion for dance and affinity with the business world. That’s why Susan has not only worked as a primary and secondary psychologist but has also worked in sales and marketing at The Walt Disney Company. In addition, Susan has international dance experience as a dance student at Broadway Dance Center New York and has also worked as a dancer in Ibiza. The past two years she worked as psychologist at Miss Legal Laf Firm. Susan believes that you should follow your heart to live with passion and happiness. Therefore Susan, with some marketing help from Karina Holwerda (Miss Legal founder) united her two passions: psychology and business into a new concept called Miss Psychology. With Miss Psychology Susan joins forces with other psychologists who believe that woman should be encouraged more to discover their strengths and live a happier life.
